Changing the printer’s name
This procedure explains how to change the printer’s name.  The printer’s
name has the following characteristics:
It prints on the startup and configuration pages.
It is used by both LocalTalk and EtherTalk to identify the printer.
It appears in the
Chooser.
It can be up to 31 characters long, and may contain any printable
characters except @ (at sign) and : (colon).
The default printer name is
Phaser 540.  If more than one printer
has the same name in a given zone, numbers are appended to the
names of the printers added later; for example, Phaser 540-1 and
Phaser 540-2.
A name change is persistent across printer power cycles.
