The new industrial-temperate card is compatible with all previous versions of hardware and software and may be paired in protection groups 

with the previous-version commercial-temperature card. The new card provides the same SONET interface it replaces, but is now rated for 

industrial temperatures (–40 to +65°C). 

Customers who need to upgrade to industrial-temperature cards can use the Cisco Technology Migration Plan (TMP) to trade in the 

commercial-temperature products and receive credit toward the purchase of new Cisco equipment. For more information about Cisco TMP, go
