Instructions for installing and managing these packages are provided in
separate documents.
About IP configurations
For complete information about configuring the MeetingPlace Audio Server
for IP, see the MeetingPlace IP Gateway System Manager’s Guide. However,
in brief, keep the following points in mind:
The same system functionality exists between IP access or T1, E1, or
T1-PRI access.
Mix-and-match capability is possible by configuring the individual
hardware blades.

Please note the following:
MeetingPlace IP Gateway does not support out-of-band digit detection
with SIP.
By default, G.729a is not enabled; G.711 codec calls are negotiated first. To
change the negotiation priority to G.729a calls, you must use the
setipcodec
CLI command. For more information, see the Cisco
MeetingPlace Audio Server 5.2 Customer Engineer Guide, or contact your
MeetingPlace support representative.
System manager responsibilities
MeetingPlace requires a minimal level of management. As system manager,
you perform the following tasks:
Maintain the database of MeetingPlace profiles
Set up an internal support strategy
Track resource usage
Perform traditional maintenance functions
Handle system alarms
Ensure system security
Maintaining profiles
Each person in your user community needs a MeetingPlace user profile
defined in the MeetingPlace database. User profiles contain information such
as:
User ID and passwords
MeetingPlace IM Gateway
Software installed on a customer-provided Windows server that enables
instant messaging through the FaceTime Server to initiate impromptu
meetings.
