Enhanced Cisco NX-OS on the Cisco Nexus 9000 Series supports numerous capabilities to aid with automation. 

The platform incorporates comprehensive APIs that expose an extensive set of functions, providing investment 

protection with the capability to add support for new automation capabilities in the future (Figure 6).

POAP automates the processes of installing and upgrading software images and installing configuration files on 

Cisco Nexus switches that are being deployed in the network for the first time.
