Upgrading from NCS 1.x , PI 1.x, PI 2.x (1 of 2)  

(For Customers without a Valid Support Contract*)

 Customers can skip the intermediate migration steps and go from legacy (NCS 1.x, PI 1.x, PI 2.x) to PI 3.0 if they do not need to migrate date 

** With backup and restore of the NCS or PI data, the licenses automatically migrate from NCS 1.x/PI 1.x/PI 2.x to PI 2.2 
    If the customer is doing a fresh install of PI 3.0, then they can copy the licenses from legacy systems and install them on PI 3.x (Re-host NOT reqd.) 
The NCS 1.0, PI 1.x, and PI 2.x licenses all work on PI 3.0. License files are located in the /opt/CSCOlumos/licenses directory on your system.
