When the Substring activity is launched, the results of the properties used to retrieve the first and last 
occurrence of the specified substring are displayed from the Operations Workspace activity instance 
view. 

To view the Substring results:

In the Operations workspace, click the Activity Views folder. 

Use one of the following methods:

Highlight the Substring activity instance, right-click and choose Properties.

-or- 

Double-click the appropriate activity instance.

The Substring Properties dialog box displays.

Click the Result tab to display the output of the requested string content in the Substring activity.

The following information is displayed: 

Substring result

String content queried between start and end position 
required in the activity
