Setting up IP Unicast Routing Information 
1  From the user interface of the D9824, choose System Settings > IP Settings > IP 
Unicast Routing. The IP Routing page is displayed. 
 
2  From the RIP drop-down list, choose Enable to enable the Routing Information 
Protocol (RIP). Otherwise, choose Disable. This is a standard protocol for 
automatic unicast route discovery. If enabled, the routing information is 
displayed in the Installed Unicast Routes table. 
3  Click Apply
4  In the Static Unicast Routing table, you can set the static unicast routing 
information used to by MPEGoIP and MPE outputs to send data packets. It can 
also be used to find hosts behind a router (for example, an FTP server, a syslog 
server, or an NTP server). 
To add a unicast route: 
a  Click Add Row
b  In the Destination IP Address field, enter the destination IP address that sets 
the destination for the unicast route.  
c  In the Mask field, enter the number of CIDR (Classless Inter-Domain 
Routing) bits in the network mask (8 to 30). 
d  In the Gateway Address field, enter the gateway address on the network, 
used to expose the receiver to a WAN. The following table shows the most 
commonly used Subnet mask values to enter for a chosen IP address mask, 
which will depend on the size of your network.
