Type y and then press Enter. 
Results:   
• 

The live upgrade of the DNCS occurs. 

• 

The DNCS image is extracted on to the unused disks of the DNCS. 

• 

The system displays a message seeking intent to back up the key files. 

Note:  This step may take 30 minutes or longer to complete. 
Important:  Ignore any on-screen directives to reboot the system.

Type y and then press Enter. 
Results:   
• 

The system lists the key files and directories that will be backed up and 

then later restored. 

• 

The system displays a Do you want to add to the above list? message. 

9. 

 

Examine the list of key files and directories that will be backed up and then 

choose one of the following options. 
• 

If you want to add to the list of key files and directories to be backed up, 

follow these instructions. 
a)  Type y and then press Enter. 
b)  Follow the on-screen instructions to add to the list of files or directories. 

• 

If you do not want to add to the list of key files and directories to be backed 

up, type n and then press Enter. 

Result:  The Do you want to back up the Spectrum database? message 

appears. 

10. 

 

Are you using Spectrum? 
• 

If yes, type y and then press Enter. 
Results:   
− 

The system backs up the Spectrum database. 

− 

The system prompt appears. 

• 

If no, type n, and then press Enter. 
Result:  The system prompt appears.
