12  Type y (for yes) and then press Enter. The system lists some configuration 

parameters of system components and asks that you confirm their accuracy. 

 

13  Refer to the notes you took in the Obtain System Configuration (on page 22) and 

verify that the configuration parameters are listed correctly; then press c to 
continue. The DNCS software installs on the DNCS. 
Note:  If you have to change any parameters, follow the on-screen instructions to 
do so. Only in rare cases will you have to modify a parameter. 

14  Press Enter to begin installing the software. 
15  Press the right mouse button in the Admintool:Add Software window and select 

History. 

16  Select Save As to open the Save As window. 
17  Check the log file for errors during the installation process. Did the log file 

display errors? 

 

If no errors are detected, go to step 18. 

 

If errors are detected, call Cisco Services for assistance. 

18  Which file are you saving in the/dvs/dncs/tmp directory?  

 

For the DNCS Application 4.0.0.27, save this file as dncssp1.log. 

 

For the remainder of the CDs, save each software component as a different 
file.
