Overview
Each service provider has a unique pair of pass phrases that secure the TED. These
pass phrases are required when replacing or reinitializing a TED.
The way the service provider uses the pass phrases adds a layer of security to the

The first pass phrase applies to Conditional Access Authority (CAA) activity.
This pass phrase comes in two parts: one is known only to you, the other is
known only by the Cisco installer.
The second pass phrase applies to Entitlement Agent (EA) activity. This pass
phrase is only known to you.
Both the individual in charge of handling the pass phrases at your site and a
Cisco installer must be present to enter the two parts of the CAA pass phrase
