Editing LDAP Authentication Objects

You can edit an existing authentication object. Your changes do not take effect until you reapply the 
policy.
To edit an authentication object:
Access: 
Admin
Step 1
Select 
System > Local > User Management
.
The User Management page appears
Step 2
Click the 
Login Authentication
 tab.
The Login Authentication page appears. 
Step 3
Click the edit icon (
) next to the object you want to edit.
The Create Authentication Object page appears.
Step 4
Modify the object settings as needed.

Click 
Test
.
A message appears, either indicating success of the test or detailing what settings are missing or need to 
be corrected. If the test succeeds, the test output appears at the bottom of the page.
If the test fails, see

troubleshooting the connection. Note that the error message that appears indicates what caused the 
connection to fail.
Step 6
Click 
Save
.
Your changes are saved and the Login Authentication page appears. Remember that you have to apply a 
system policy with the object enabled to an appliance before the authentication changes take place on
