1. A Welcome screen displays. The device language is set 

to English by default. To change the language, touch 

English and scroll through the list and touch the 

language you want your device to use.

2. Touch Start.

3. Set the date and time, or tap Automatic date and time if 

you want the device to keep time in your time zone 

automatically, then tap Next.

4. Your new device uses your Google account to fully use 

its Android features, including Gmail, Maps, 

Navigation, Google Talk, and the Google

™

 Play Store.

The Make it Google screen allows you to create a new 

Google account or sign in, if you already have a Google 

account.

• Touch Sign in and enter the email address and password for 

your existing account.

• Touch Get an account to sign up for a Google Account.

• Touch Not now to perform this task later. For more information, 

The main Home screen displays.

5. Read the Use Google location screen information and 

enable either or both of the Google location services, 

then touch Next.

6. Enter your First and Last name in the This tablet 

belongs to... screen to personalize some of your 

applications and touch Next.

7. Read the information on the Google services screen 

and touch Next.

8. Touch Finish at the Setup complete screen.

Creating a New Google Account

In order to utilize your device to the fullest extent, you will 
need to create a Google™ Account when you first use your 
device. With a Google Account, Google applications will 
always be in sync between your tablet and computer.

If you did not create a new account during the setup 
procedure when you first turned your tablet on, follow these 
steps:

1. From a Home screen, touch 

 Apps ➔

 Gmail.

The Add a Google Account screen displays.

2. Tap New to create a new Google account.

3. Follow the on-screen instructions to add the account.
