Key Application Requirements
Structural strength, ease of application, thin glue lines.
Benefits/Advantages To Customer
Set time: Can be applied to the miter joint with enough open time to position
door panel frames before it sets.
Eliminates need for mechanical fasteners: Sets quickly enough so that parts do
not have to be nailed or clamped while the glue sets, which can eliminate the
need for stapling, nailing, putty and sanding.
Strong: The product can cure to a strength greater than what is achieved with
most typical wood glues and nails on moldings, and can also provide greater
stability for miter joints than most traditional wood glues and staples.
Helps reduce production costs: The amount of time required for production can
be reduced because of the elimination of nailing or stapling, and sanding steps
in the manufacturing process.
Ultraviolet light indicator: When viewed under most ultraviolet (UV) lighting,
these adhesives have a purple tint, making it easy to detect residue in the
bondline that should be removed prior to finishing.
