Ramping

Ramping causes the incoming ring tone to gradually increase to maximum
volume level if the call is not answered after the first ring.

Edition

This feature does not apply to English and it is network, SIM, and language
dependent. Edition changes the "accented" character set to suit the
language in use on the phone.

Display - Backlight setting

This option controls the backlight during key entry or incoming ring tone.
There are two settings:

• On for 10 sec.: Display and key backlight stays on for

10 seconds after the last key press or incoming call.

• Off: Backlight stays off.

Use or to adjust the setting.

Press OK

Press Back or to return to the standby display.

If the ring tone volume level is set to Off, the icon appears. A warning also displays when the
phone is turned on.

Press Menu .

Select Settings.

Select Tones.

Select Volume.

Select Ramping.

Select On or Off.
Press Back or to return to the standby display.

When turned on, the incoming ring tone volume starts at minimum and increases to maximum
volume until answered.

Press Menu .

Select Settings.

Select Display.

Select Backlight.
