Disk mode
How Disk mode is organized
In Disk mode you can use floppy disks or a connected
external SCSI device (if the separately sold EXB-SCSI is
installed) to save or load various types of data. You can
also make settings related to saving and loading func-
tionality.
For details on connecting an external SCSI device and
setting the SCSI ID etc., refer to the owner’s manual for
the separately sold EXB-SCSI option.
Types of media that can be used
Floppy disks
The TRITON-Rack can use MS-DOS format 3.5 inch
2HD
or 2DD floppy disks. The capacity of a floppy
disk after formatting will be 1.44 MB (18 sectors/track)
for a 2HD disk, or 720 KB (9 sectors/track) for a 2DD
disk. (
For details on formatting, refer to PG p.137.)
We recommend that you use 2HD floppy disks.
External SCSI storage media (when the sep-
arately sold EXB-SCSI option is installed)
If the separately sold EXB-SCSI option is installed, the
TRITON-Rack can save data on external SCSI media
(maximum 4 GB) such as a hard disk, Zip, Jaz, ORB, or
MO drive.
When the EXB-SCSI option is installed, an external
SCSI device of up to 4 GB can be formatted.
When you insert media for the first time after turn-
ing on the power, or after changing disks, you
must press a function key etc. to make the TRI-
TON-Rack detect the media. When the disk (or
other media) is recognized, media information will
appear in the LCD screen.
You can also make the TRITON-Rack recognize the
media by pressing the [SELECT], [ARP ON/OFF],
[AUDITION], or [DEMO/SNG] keys, or any key
other than the mode keys.
If more than one volume of media is currently rec-
ognized, select “Drive” and use the [INC], [DEC]
keys to switch between media.
The TRITON-Rack cannot format media with a for-
mat of other than 512 bytes/block (such as 640 MB,
1.3 GB MO disks etc.).
