Chapter 3  Peer-to-Peer Printing (Windows 95/98)

3-4  KN-304  Network Board

[IP Port]

The KN-304 Network Board has a definite port number assigned.  The default is 10000 and

you can change the value as necessary.  It is required that the port number assigned to the

KN-304 must be used for IP Peer-to-Peer.

[Printer Names]

You designate the printer name indicated when you select the printer port during printer driver

setup.  You may use the serial number of the KN-304, IP address or unit name as the printer

name.

Adding a printer

Click the [Printers] button in the [IP Peer-to-Peer Setup], and the Printers dialog box appears.

Enter required information and click the [Add] button.  Now the new printer is added to the list

of [Available Printers].  To delete one out of the printer list, select it and click the Delete button.

[IP Address]

Enter the IP address assigned to the printer.

[Name]

Enter the printer name indicated when you select the printer port during printer driver setup.

[Port]

The port number indicated is the base port number plus one.  Do not change this value unless

necessary.

[Description]

Enter a character string of description, which will be displayed after the port number when you

select the printer port during printer driver setup.
