How to Panic the System with the Remote Control
As an added safety measure, the system was designed to respond if you ever
face harassment and are within transmittal range of the vehicle. Simply
press button I continuously for 3 seconds. The parking lights will flash and
the siren will sound for your choice of 30 or 60 seconds (see How to Set
User-Selectable Features
on pages 9-10), calling attention from passersby.
Remote Control Low Voltage Warning
A miniature 12-volt battery powers the remote control. As the battery
voltage decreases over time, range will decrease. If the battery voltage gets
too low, the remote control LED will flash dimly or not at all. Get a new
battery as soon as possible from your local Authorized Clifford Dealer or call
the Clifford Customer Service Department at (800) 824-3208.
Remote Control of Optional Accessories
Button II on the remote control is your lifestyle convenience button: It may
optionally command an IntelliStart remote engine starter, the remote roll-
down/venting feature of SmartWindows II, NightVision’s remote headlight acti-
vation feature, the trunk release or your home’s electric garage door.
Valet Mode
Whenever your car is to be serviced, washed or valet parked, you must use
the valet mode in order to prevent unintentional activation of the alarm.
How to Enable Valet Mode
1. Insert your key and turn the ignition to the ON position.
2. Flip the valet/program switch. The LED inside your vehicle will turn on,
confirming the system is in valet mode.
3. You may now turn the ignition off and remove your key.
NOTE: If you temporarily lose the use of your remote control, you can
disarm the system by enabling valet mode.
NOTE: Even in valet mode, you may still use the remote control to lock
or unlock the doors and/or activate a remote controlled accessory.
How to Exit Valet Mode
1. Insert your key and turn the ignition to the ON position.
2. Flip the valet/program switch. The LED inside your vehicle will turn off,
confirming the system is in normal operating mode.
