alarm owners that it is important to test your alarms weekly to ensure they are

 

working 

properly.

  

Regular testing and maintenance of your alarms in accordance with the user’s 

manual instructions can help provide added protection for you and your family.

   

 

If an alarm ever fails to test properly, replace the batteries and test the alarm again.  If 
the alarm still fails to test properly, REPLACE IT IMMEDIATELY.  Products under 
warranty may be returned to the manufacturer for replacement (see user’s manual for 
warranty instructions)

.

   In the event that an alarm is dropped during tabletop use or 

during the installation process, confirm the alarm is fully functioning by testing the alarm.  
If it fails to test properly, replace it immediately. 
 
Some First Alert and BRK Electronics alarms offer a remote control silence and test 
feature.  This feature allows you to utilize most TV remote controls to test your alarm 
without standing on a chair or ladder.  Simply aim the remote control at the alarm and 
press the channel or volume button for at least 3-5 seconds.
