The Study Buddy™ Koby™ is an adorable, furry friend which makes learning fun!  With voice 
recognition, interactive game play, fun colors and a unique personality.  Study Buddy™ Koby™ is 
both educational and entertaining!
a. 1 Adorable Study Buddy™ Koby™ with Removable Glasses
• Study Buddy™ Koby™ currently speaks only English.  
• Study Buddy™ Koby™ is best played with in a quiet room with low or no background noise.
• Best voice recognition will be achieved when children say the command words as listed in the 
   manual.
• Study Buddy™ Koby™ may find it hard to understand children with speech difficulties.
• Ask your child to keep Study Buddy™ Koby™ at arms length while speaking with him.
• Ask your child to speak normally (don’t yell) and wait for Study Buddy™ Koby™ to finish
  talking before the child begins to talk.
• When more than one child is playing with Study Buddy™ Koby™, only one child should speak to
  Koby™ at any one time. 
• Do Not place bandanas or any other item around Study Buddy’s™ Koby’s neck as it may
  interfere with voice recognition.
• Study Buddy™ Koby™ will arrive wearing glasses.  To remove the glasses for the first time,
  an adult must snip the threads holding the nose piece to Study Buddy™ Koby’s face.  Study
  Buddy™ Koby’s glasses may then be removed and replaced by slipping the glasses earpieces
  into and out of the loops on each side of his head. (Figs. 1 to 3)

SAFE BATTERY PRECAUTIONS
FCC STATEMENT
Please keep this manual as it contains important information.
• Keep background noise low - for best results play with Study Buddy™ in a quiet room.
• For best performance, you should face Study Buddy™ directly when play with it.
• Talk in a normal tone of voice, the way that you would talk to a friend. Pronounce all the 
   syllables of each word clearly.
• Speak loudly and clearly when talking with Study Buddy™ for its recognize and response.
• If mouth or eyes motions becomes slow and the voice becomes weak/low, replace the 
  designated AA batteries with fresh alkaline batteries.
• If you do not plan on playing with your Study Buddy™ for long periods of time, be sure to turn 
   it OFF.
• If Study Buddy™ begins to function improperly, switch the ON/OFF switch to the “OFF” 
  position, and then move back to the “ON” position.
1. Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged;
2. Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before being charged;
3. Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision;
4. Different types of batteries or new and used batteries are not to be mixed;
5. Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used;
6. Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity;
7 Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the toy;
8. The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited;
9. Do not dispose of the batteries in fire, batteries may leak or explode;
10. Batteries should be replaced by adult;
11. Use alkaline batteries for better performance;
12. Batteries included are for in store demonstration only. Please change batteries when you 
     take the product home before playing.
