4 Ohm or 8 Ohm load loudspeakers. You must ensure that the
switch is set to appropriate impedance rating that matches your
loudspeaker.  Note: Ensure that loudspeaker impedance
matches the correct jack connectors.
30. EXTERNAL LOUDSPEAKER JACKS: Connects the
ST-100A to external loudspeakers such as the LG-412V or
LG-412S with a 4 Ohm or 8 Ohm load.
31. 16 OHM LOUDSPEAKER JACK: Connects loudspeakers(s)
that require a 16 Ohm load.
32. GROUND / LIFT SWITCH: Removes ground from the circuit
to eliminate 60-cycle hum.
33. 3-SETTING RECTIFIER SWITCH:
SOLID-STATE – Gives tighest low-end definition and fastest
attack.
TUBE AB1 – Punchy, warm and tighter definition than
Tube A.
TUBE A – “Vintage” attack and feel. Warmest sounding
setting.
34. AC INLET & FUSE HOLDER: Connects AC powercord
as well as contains primary fuse.
10. CHANNEL SWITCH: Push switch selects between the clean
and overdrive channels. Activated LED lights indicate which
channel is in use.
11. OVERDRIVE – VOLUME: Controls the overall signal level of the
overdrive channel.
12. OVERDRIVE CHANNEL – TREBLE: Adjusts the amount of high
frequency boost or cut as desired in the overdrive channel.
Turning this control clockwise adds clarity to your sound.
13. OVERDRIVE CHANNEL – MIDDLE: Adjusts the amount of
mid-range frequencies as desired in the overdrive channel.
Similar to the Clean Channel function, the O.D. Channel Middle
control adds body and punch to your sound.
14. OVERDRIVE CHANNEL – BASS: Adjusts the amount of low
frequency boost or cut as desired in the overdrive channel. Bass
is B-52’s signature. Turning this control clockwise increases
depth and low-end punch to your music.
15. OVERDRIVE CHANNEL – CONTOUR: Adjusts the overall tone
quality of Gain 2 in the overdrive channel. Low contour settings
emphasize middle frequencies. A higher setting will notch the
mid-range to produce the deep crunch sounds characteristic in
most heavy metal type music.
16. OVERDRIVE CHANNEL – GAIN 2: Adjusts the amount of
distortion in Gain 2. (Activated LED indicates use).
17. OVERDRIVE CHANNEL – GAIN SWITCH: Push switch Selects
between Gain 1 and Gain 2 controls. Activated LED lights
indicate which channel is currently use.
18. OVERDRIVE CHANNEL – GAIN 1: Adjusts the amount of
distortion in Gain 1. (Activated LED indicates in use).
19. INPUT CONNECTOR - LOW: Connects your guitar to the
ST-100A. B-52 recommends that you use a cable that is
screened or shielded.
20. INPUT CONNECTOR - HIGH: Connects your guitar to the
ST-100A. B-52 recommends that you use a cable that
is screened or shielded.
[Try both inputs and use the one that sounds best to you. The
bottom line is trust your ears!]
Do not attempt to service the ST-100A by yourself. Refer
all servicing to a B-52 Authorized dealer. Service is
required when the ST-100A has had liquid spilled on it or
has been damaged in any way, the amplifier has been
exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally or
has been dropped.
