The HP x22LED houses a low power WLED (white

light emitting diode) backlit panel, instead of the

standard CCFL backlit panel found in most LCDs,

which can provide a reduction in power

consumption and help you save money while you

reduce your energy footprint over time. WLEDs are

also solid state components, making them more

resistant to damage caused by external shock and

provide quicker “switching” time than CCFLs.

Finally, WLEDs eliminate the use of mercury, which

eliminates the growing concern over the use of this

substance.
