3.1.2 With the base unit

Lift the handset or press {SP-PHONE}.

Dial the telephone number.

To hang up, replace the handset or press {SP-
PHONE

To redial the last number dialled from the base unit
Lift the handset or press {SP-PHONE}. i {REDIAL}

If {SP-PHONE} is pressed and the line is busy, the 
unit will automatically redial the number 2 or more 
times.
3.2 Answering phone calls
3.2.1 With the cordless handset

Lift the cordless handset and press {C} or {s}.

You can also answer a call by pressing any dial 
key from {0} to {9}, {*}, {#} or {INT(Any key 
talk feature)
.

To hang up, press {ih} or place the cordless 
handset on the charger.
Auto talk feature (Cordless handset)
This feature allows you to answer a call by simply lifting 
the cordless handset off the charger (page 53).
3.2.2 With the base unit

Lift the handset or press {SP-PHONE} and talk into 
{
MIC}.

To hang up, replace the handset or press {SP-
PHONE

3.3 Recording a telephone 
conversation (Cordless handset 
only)

Before recording a conversation, you should 
inform the other party that the conversation will 
be recorded.

3.4 Night mode
Night mode allows you to select a block of time during 
which the cordless handset and the base unit will not 
ring for outside calls. This feature is useful for times 
when you do not want to be disturbed, for example, while 
sleeping.
Using the cordless handset phonebook’s category 
feature (page 23), you can also select categories of 
callers whose calls will override night mode and ring the 
cordless handset (Caller ID subscribers only).
