Users must enter the login name, and the password before using any devices which have the User
Authentication function enabled. Authentication is performed using the user's Windows account.

A login screen appears if User Authentication is
enabled.

Note:

Select

"User ID", and then enter your user name

(Up to 40 characters), and choose

"OK" .

User Authentication can be set independently for each

function (copying, faxing, scanning, and printing).

If User Authentication is disabled for the copy

function, the control panel displays the standby

message, and the login screen only appears when a

function that requires authentication is selected.

Ex: panauser

Select

"OK" to start the authentication process.

Select

"Password", and then enter your password

(Up to 40 characters), and then select

"OK" .

Select

"Domain", and then confirm the domain

name, and then choose

"OK".

Ex: pana01

The user name is

NOT case-sensitive.

The password is case-sensitive.

When using the User Authentication for the first time, refer Chapter 3 Setting Machine (page 13 - page 26).

The System Administrator should set up the User Authentication Function.
