Certain diagnostics information is provided to assist with installation and maintenance of the transceiver. This 
can be accessed via the Maintenance menu. Figure 30 shows the diagnostics menu page. A number of 
features can be accessed via the diagnostics menu:

● Internal GPS status provides GPS lock status, number of satellites in view and in use and the mode of 

use. 

● ADC and VSWR data provides internal system information for use in installation and maintenance 

only

● Sensor port status provides details of sensor port settings. 

AIS: UTC clock lost

The internal GNSS receiver is not providing 
timing information to the AIS. Position reports 
will continue to be made.

AIS: external DGNSS in use

An externally connected differential GNSS is 
being used as AIS position source.

AIS: external GNSS in use

An externally connected GNSS is being used 
as AIS position source.

AIS: internal DGNSS in use (beacon)

The internal GNSS, corrected by data from a 
connected beacon recevier is being used as 
AIS position source.

AIS: internal DGNSS in use (message 17)

The internal GNSS, corrected by data from an 
AIS base station is being used as AIS position 
source.

AIS: internal GNSS in use

The internal GNSS is being used as AIS 
position source.

AIS: external SOG/COG in use

An external source of SOG / COG data is 
being used as source of speed and course 
data.

AIS: internal SOG/COG in use

Internal GNSS SOG / COG data is being used 
as source of speed and course data.

AIS: Heading valid

The connected source of heading data is valid.

AIS: Rate of Turn Indicator in use

The connected ROT sensor data is valid

AIS: Other ROT source in use

Rate of turn information is based on Heading 
data.

AIS: Channel management parameters 
changed

The AIS has received commands to use 
alternate reporting channels (from an AIS base 
station)
