You can log in to the modem router to view or change its settings.

To connect to the modem router, use a computer that is configured 

for DHCP (most computers are). For help with configuring DHCP, 

see the instructions that came with your computer.

The modem router automatically logs you out after 5 minutes of no activity.



On the computer that is connected to the modem router with an Ethernet cable, type 
http://192.168.0.1 

in the address field of your Internet browser . 

A login window opens. 

Log in with the user name  admin and its default password of  password.
The modem router Basic Home screen displays when you log in (see 

12).

The modem router home screens include a Basic Home screen and an Advanced Home 

screen.
