Adapter

Connecting to a Device

1.  Please ensure that the batteries are
installed in the adapter. See below for
instructions on how to install batteries.
2.  Connect the device to the adapter using
the adapter’s cable. Make sure that the
connection is secure.

Transmitting a Measurement

1.  Take a measurement as you normally do
using the device.
2.  If your adapter does not have a Send button, then
the measurement will be automatically
transmitted from the device to the adapter.
3.  If your adapter does have a Send button,
please press it once after the device has
taken the measurement. Your
measurement will now be send to the
adapter and then on to the receiver hub.

4.  Do not yank at the cable as its connection
to the peak flow meter may become
unsecured.
Helpful Hints

1.  Please insure that the device and the
adapter fit together securely.
2.  The connector will fit properly only one
way. If resistance is encountered while
connecting, please check and reorient
connector if necessary.
3.  Please check batteries after approximately
6 months of regular use and replace if
necessary.

Battery Installation

1.  Open the battery compartment cover on the
underside of the adapter.
2.  When the compartment is opened, insert 2 AA
batteries, making sure they are oriented correctly.
3.  Replace the battery compartment cover.

Notes:
1.  Since the batteries installed from the factory at the
time of shipment are monitor batteries, their life
may be shorter than regular, new batteries.

1.  Because this unit uses precision parts, care
should be taken to avoid extremes in temperature
variations, humidity, shock, dust and direct
sunlight.
2.  Do not open or take apart the adapter or its
components.  There are no user
serviceable parts.
