Using WriteTouch

If your Tablet PC includes the WriteTouch option, you can use the tablet pen or touch screen 

for input. For more information, see “WriteTouch” on page 8.

Opening WriteTouch Tablet Settings

Use the WriteTouch Tablet Settings window to configure the options for WriteTouch input.

•

In Control Panel, open WriteTouch Tablet Settings.

You can also open the WriteTouch Tablet Settings by tapping the WriteTouch icon (

) in 

the notification area.

Selecting the input mode

The input mode determines whether the Tablet PC accepts pen input, touch input, or 

allows you to switch between the two using the switching gesture.

1. In Control Panel, open WriteTouch Tablet Settings.

2. Tap the Digitizer Options tab.

3. Select one of the following:

•

Pen only. Use the pen to interact with the Tablet PC.

•

Touch only. Use touch to interact with the Tablet PC.

•

Auto mode. Switch between pen and touch input by using the switching gesture 
(page 24).

Switching input modes using the Function button

You can use the Function button to change between Pen only and Auto mode without 

having to open the WriteTouch Tablet Settings window.

Press and hold the Function button (

) for a half second.
