With the Message screen displayed, press 

 to display the message Options menu screen.

Changes the settings for the SMS messaging function.

Edits the SMS centre number (this number is saved in the SIM card).

Turns on/off the automatic display function that displays the received SMS messages automatically.

3 Receipt request Selects whether to request a receipt of the sent SMS messages.

4 Max linked msg Sets the maximum number of linked SMS messages. This function divides an SMS with the message text 

exceeding the maximum number of characters allowed into multiple messages.

Selects the period of time an SMS message is stored at the SMS centre, while trying to deliver the 

message.

Changes the settings for the MMS messaging function.

Press 1 to display the Msg settings screen, or 2 to display the Web/MMS profiles screen (see page 64).

With the Msg settings screen displayed, press the appropriate key for the required operation.

Selects whether to request a delivery report of the sent MMS message or not, and to automatically send a 

delivery status report for the received MMS message or not.

Selects whether to receive the MMS messages manually or automatically.

Selects the period of time an MMS message is stored at the server while trying to deliver the message.

Changes the settings for the Cell broadcast function (See “Cell broadcast” on page 62).

View  msg  status Displays the number of messages stored in your phone and SIM card, and their total data size.

Renames Folder1 and Folder2 folders.

Displays all the messages in all folders on the same list.

Sets the type(s) of messages to be displayed by selecting the desired filter option.

SMS: Filters the SMS messages by stored location (SIM, phone memory or both), or by status (complete, incomplete or both).

MMS: Displays the MMS messages only.

Both: Displays both SMS and MMS.
