Making and Answering Calls 
Making Calls 
1.  Make sure your phone is on. 
2.  Enter a phone number from standby mode. (If you make a mistake while dialing, press 
BACK to erase one digit at a time. Press and hold BACK to erase the entire number.) 
3.  Press TALK or SPEAKER. (To make a call when you are roaming and Call Guard is 
enabled, press Options (right softkey), highlight Roam Call or Roam:Speaker On and press 
MENU/OK .) 
4.  When you’re finished, press END/ or close the phone to end the call. 
 
Dialing Options 
Dialing options are displayed when you press Options (right softkey) after entering numbers in 
the standby mode. 
To select an option, select it and press MENU/OK. 
 
Abbrev. Dial to dial the phone number in your Contacts list that ends with the digits you 
entered. (See “Abbreviated Dialing” on page 17.) 
 
Call  to dial the phone number. (If you are roaming and have the Call Guard feature 
activated, you need take extra step. See page 36 for setting Call Guard.) 
 
Call:Speaker On to dial the phone number in speakerphone mode.(If you are roaming and 
have the Call Guard feature activated, you need take extra step. See page 36 for setting 
Call Guard.) 
 
Send Message to send an SMS Text message, a Voice SMS message, a Picture Mail, and 
Email or a Voicemail. 
 
Save Phone# to  save  the  phone  number  in  your  Contacts  list.  (See  “Saving a Phone 
Number
” on page 16.) 
 
Find to display Contacts list entries that end with the digits you entered. (See “Finding a 
Phone Number” on page 16
.) 
 
 
 
Hyphen  to insert a hyphen.  Hyphens are generally for visual appeal only and not 
necessary when entering numbers. (See “Dialing and Saving Phone Numbers With 
Pauses” on page 16.) 
Tip: To speed dial a phone number, press and hold appropriate speed dial key (locations 2-9).
