Getting started

Congratulations on purchaining your Estimote beacon.

Read this guide to get started.

Estimote iBeacon is a Bluetooth® 4.0 low energy, single mode compliant device. It wirelessly 

communicates with Bluetooth® Smart Ready products. The device is equipped with a high-end 

accelerometer with motion detection features. The cell battery can supply power for up to 

two years of continuos use.

After installation, the Beacons begin transmitting 2.4 GHz Bluetooth® signals, similar to 

WiFi. They can communicate with smartphones that are as close as four inches away, or as far 

as 230 feet away.

In both cases, search for Estimote, download the app and  proceed to follow the app instructions.
