Getting started

Congratulations on purchaising your Estimote Beacon.

Read this guide to get started.

Estimote  Beacon  F1.3d  is  a  Bluetooth®  Smart  device.  It  wirelessly  communicates 

with Bluetooth® Smart Ready products. The device is equipped with a bunch of sensors:  a 

high-end  accelerometer  with  motion  detection  features,  ambient  temperature  sensor, 

ambient light sensor and magnetometer. The cell batteries can supply power for up to two 

years of continuous use.

After installation, the Beacons begin transmitting 2.4 GHz Bluetooth® signals, similar to 

WiFi. They can communicate with smartphones that are as close as four inches away, or as far 

as 230 feet away.
