ANKR is a technology suite 

developed by Bleon to track and 

manage business and personal assets 

that are important. From its first 

product, the detachable ANKR 

dongle for tracking users’ personal 

items such as keys or laptops bags in 

concert with a smartphone app, the 

ANKR ecosystem has grown to 

include the ability to add 

functionality such as real-time 

monitoring of the direction of 

movement, temperature, vibration 

and humidity of high-value portable

ANKR is a small Bluetooth Smart 

device that lives with your bag or 

keys and communicates with a 

simple app on your smartphone to let 

you know when you’re about to 

leave something behind...or to help 

you find it when you have. 

 

You can set up ANKR's free app for 

iOS in less than a minute. 

Your ANKR will alert your phone if

ANKRs use the new Bluetooth Smart 

technology (also called Bluetooth 

low energy or BLE) to send a silent 

radio signal to the ANKR app on 

users’ smartphones. If users are near 

their ANKR-tagged items, nothing 

happens. However, if the user leaves 

an item behind, the app senses that 

the ANKR is too far away and sends 

an audible alert and a pop-up 

notification. 

 

 

Because Bluetooth Smart uses 99.99% 

less energy than older versions of 

Bluetooth, using ANKR won’t drain 

users’ phones. It also enables an 

ANKR to run for up to a year on a 

single coin cell battery.
