Maintenance (OAM) mechanisms used in traditional carrier
networks to effectively maintain and troubleshoot broadband
Ethernet networks. EC3802-WDM’s 802.3ah can support
basic and advanced part. In basic part, device can work with
other venders’ CO switches with Discovery, Remote Failure
Indication, Link Monitor and Remote Loopback. In advanced
part, EC3802-WDM has proprietary behaviors including Reset
Remote Devices and Remote Firmware Upgrade. These
function can work with Edge-Core’s fiber switch ES3528-WDM
and ES3528M-SFP.
