Forgotten to turn the hob off or accidentally switched it 
on? No problem! The pan detection system only generates 
heat when a pan is on the hob. Good news for cleaning 

too – since the glass around the cooking zone remains cold 
nothing can catch fire and cleaning is accomplished with 
a damp cloth.
