Caution • Turn Off (O) the printer and disconnect the printer from the power 
source before performing the following maintenance.

1.

Turn Off (

) the printer and remove the AC power cord and data cables.

2.

Refer to Figure 4-84. Open the media door, remove the electronics cover mounting 
screw and lock washer.

3.

Remove the media and ribbon.

4.

Close the media door. 

5.

Remove the latch cover by prying out on the front edge with a small screwdriver.

6.

Slide the front cover to the right, then lift to remove.

7.

Reinstall the latch cover.
