Developed in conjunction with other industry

leaders, Toshiba’s revolutionary Bluetooth

PC Card redefines short-distance communi-

cation with the aid of a tiny radio module 

using the worldwide freely accessible 

2.4 GHz short wave (ISM) band. Simply 

slot the card into the PC to talk to other 

notebooks, mobile phones, Personal Digital 

Assistants (PDAs) and other devices 

without the need for wires. With Bluetooth 

technology on board, you can effortlessly

and securely, exchange data and files with

other users, or link into shared devices 

such as printer at any distance up to 10 

metres (or 100 metres with integrated power

amplification) and a data transmission speed

up to max. 1Mbps. 

This PC Card comes with a built-in antenna

and offers complete mobile wireless net-

working freedom for users. Instead of being

tied to a company network cable connection

on the desktop, users can now move their

portable PC freely throughout a building

while still staying constantly in touch with the

network. Data transmission speed is an 

impressive 11Mbps, with a range of up to

100 metres.

Containing a WLAN PC Card and connected

via cable to the company, a single Access

Point can provide up to 30 people with 

wireless access to the company’s network

system within an area of up to 100 metres.

software – a unique application developed

by Toshiba that makes wireless communica-

tion so much easier and more convenient
