SMART Storage Systems™ CloudSpeed SSD product family was designed specifically to address 
the growing need for SSDs that are optimized for mixed workload applications in enterprise 
server  and  cloud  computing  environments.  Leveraging  SMART’s  proprietary  Guardian 
Technology™ Platform, tier-one OEM-enterprise firmware, proven power fail technology and the 
latest generation of consumer MLC NAND flash, the CloudSpeed SSD product family offers all the 
features expected from an enterprise-class drive at the right value. 

Available in capacities of 100-960GB, the CloudSpeed SSD product family features a 6Gb/s SATA 
interface and provides up to 450/350MB/s sequential read/write and 80K/30K IOPS random  
read/write performance.

Leveraging  SMART  Storage  Systems’  Guardian  Technology  Platform,  a  proprietary  suite  of 
enterprise features and endurance enhancement technologies, the CloudSpeed SSD product 
family  delivers  up  to  5x  higher  endurance  than  competing  client  MLC  SSDs.  Enterprise 
organizations have utilized client-class SSDs with low endurance specifications in a consumption 
model, resulting in the need to replace an SSD multiple times within a typical 5-year warranty 
period. The higher endurance ratings of the CloudSpeed SSD product family enables enterprise 
organizations to extend the working life of their application or run at a higher write performance 
workload without having to worry about flash wear out. This fundamentally changes the total 
cost of ownership (TCO) for cloud and server storage applications.

The  CloudSpeed  SSD  product  family  offers  industry-leading  data  integrity  by  employing  a 
combination  of  powerful  error  correction  and  detection,  full  data  path  protection,  thermal 
monitoring, and data fail recovery of up to 1 NAND flash erase block. Comprehensive diagnos-
tic tools are provided through SSD-specific S.M.A.R.T. attributes.

Incorporating OEM enterprise-class firmware, the CloudSpeed SSD product family features a 
high reliability backup-power circuitry to ensure the highest level of drive reliability. CloudSpeed 
product family achieves an MTBF of 2 million hours, and market-leading uncorrectable bit error 
rate (UBER) of less than 1 in 10
