1. Description
SUBCON-PLUS-PROFIB plug with spring-cage connection or
screw-cage connection for axial cable entry.
screw-cage connection for axial cable entry.
The plug allows fast and convenient connection of incoming
and outgoing bus cables. Its contacts are routed onto clearly
color labeled spring-cage terminal blocks or screw-cage
terminal blocks.
and outgoing bus cables. Its contacts are routed onto clearly
color labeled spring-cage terminal blocks or screw-cage
terminal blocks.
The integrated terminal resistor can be connected and
simultaneously connects/disconnects the outgoing bus cable
when de/activating. This allows an easy start up of the bus
system one segment at a time.

when de/activating. This allows an easy start up of the bus
system one segment at a time.
Strain relief and shield bonding are integrated into the two
housing shells. Mount the upper shell of the housing to build up
strain relief and shield bonding for the bus cable.

The strain relief is designed for FastConnect bus cables with an
overall cross section of 8 mm.

2. Notes on Connecting
The following stripping tools can be used to strip conductors
quickly and conveniently (Fig.2):
PSM-STRIP-FC/PROFIB (Order No.: 27 44 62 3) and
QUICK-WIREFOX 6

3. Bus Terminating Resistor
3.1. Activating terminating resistor and
switching off outgoing bus cables:
The terminating resistors are activated via the slide switch
(Fig.1) at the starting and final point of the bus system. At the
same time the connection points (2A/2B) for the outgoing bus
cable are switched off.

cable are switched off.
At all other nodes of the bus system the corresponding
terminating resistor must be deactivated!
