3) TAPE TO CTRL switch (ME1002 and ME1202)
Press the TAPE TO CTRL switch to put the CD/TAPE IN signal on the CONTROL ROOM
output, the headphones socket and the LED level display. If this switch is pressed, only the
CD/TAPE INPUT signal is put on the CONTROL ROOM output and the headphones output.
This switch can thus be used to check the recording signal.
The TAPE TO CTRL switch has no function if the FX TO CTRL switch is
pressed. The FX TO CTRL switch takes precedence.

4) CD/TAPE TO PHONES switch (ME502FP)
Press the CD/TAPE TO PHONES switch to put the CD/TAPE IN signal on the headphones output and the LED
level display. If this switch is pressed, only the CD/TAPE INPUT signal is put on the headphones output. This
switch can thus be used to check the recording signal.
5) TAPE TO MIX switch (for ME502FP CD/TAPE TO MIX)
Press the TAPE TO MIX switch to send the CD/TAPE IN signal to the MAIN MIX bus. The CD/TAPE IN socket is
now used as an additional STEREO LINE input.
If a recording is made via the CD/TAPE OUT sockets and listened to via the CD/TAPE IN sock-
ets, the TAPE TO MIX switch must not be pressed. There is a danger of feedback.

1) PHANTOM switch
For operation of a condenser microphone, a phantom voltage  can be applied to the
XLR sockets. This switch is used to switch the PHANTOM voltage +48V on or off
for all MIC sockets. If operation of the microphone does not require phantom volt-
age, switch it off before connecting the microphone. Press this button to switch on
phantom voltage. The +48V LED is lit when the PHANTOM voltage is switched on.
To avoid damage to the connected devices, the PHANTOM switch must only be operated if the
mixer is switched off.
Use the PHANTOM voltage for condenser microphones only. Only use symmetric cables for
connecting a condenser microphone.
