2.2.2 GT864 PY with GPIO
At the mini USB connector are 4 inputs, with the following technical description:
• max. voltage V
IN
is 30V
• low level: 0...1V
• high level: 12…30V
• ESD protected
• under full control of embedded application

GT864 PY Pin Layout for Mini USB connector:
The GT864 Terminals with a hardware revision of G or higher have an internal GSM module that is
upgraded from a GE864 to a GE865.
upgraded from a GE864 to a GE865.
The Python enabled version of the GT864 terminal family has some special considerations that should
be considered when using the newer module. Fortunately the Python script interpreter should be
100% compatible between the modules.
However to accommodate the new module it was necessary to internally remap the General Purpose
I/O pins made available via mini USB connector on the terminal. The same functionality should
available from these pins as on the previous terminal however any Python code will have to modified
to reflect the changes in the I/O used. The following table describes how the I/O mapping in the new
module compares to the I/O mapping in the old module.

All inputs are under control of an embedded application script or at-commands!
The following commands have to be used to initialise and to read the status of the
GPIOs:
at#GPIO=5,2,0
(read GPIO5, PIN1 Mini USB)
at#GPIO=6,2,0
(read GPIO6, PIN2 Mini USB)
