7. Connection
The camera has a connection cable with two plugs at the end.
The video signal (PAL) is available at the BNC connector. Use an matching adapter if you cannot
use a BNC video cable.
The camera is connected to the external voltage supply via the low-voltage round socket (direct
voltage, 12 V/DC). A matching round plug is required for connection, outer diameter 5.5 mm, inner
diameter 2.1 mm. The outer contact of the round plug must conduct minus/-, the inner contact
plus/+.

If the camera is installed and operated outdoors, the two plug connectors must only be placed in
a location protected from moisture. Observe chapter 6. If this is not observed, there will be corro-
sion of the plug connectors!
Set the correct input channel at the display device for the camera image to be displayed.
If required, align the camera correctly so that you can monitor the desired image section.
On the rear of the camera, you can make the settings for the integrated zoom lens. The focus can
be corrected accordingly to sharpen the image. Observe chapter 8.
The IR LEDs are switched on automatically in the dark. The LEDs are, however, not visible to the
human eye. Observe that the image is displayed in black and white instead of colour on a col-
lected screen at night.
