Introduction
With Free-control, you can easily and comfortably switch your
electrical devices. A minimum functional radio system always
consists of a radio transmitter and a radio receiver. All
transmitters and receivers of the Free-control series (with logo:
) can be linked with each other, except with equipments
of the following article numbers xxxx.xxx1.x (with logo:
control
).
Application possibilities
1. The radio receiver with switching function and radio
transmitter replaces the existing switch (Illustration 13).
Parallel switching of radio receivers is not possible with
conventional, wired switches (Illustration 5).
2. Before installation, check the radio range for perfect
transmission.
Installation possibilities
• Surface-mounted installation
• Stand-alone device
• Installation in multiple combinations
Installation/connection:
Select desired installation location.
Install the mounting frame (Illustration 2a/6).
Attach the cover frame (Illustration 2b/7).
Insert the radio electronics module of the radio wall switch
(Illustration 2c/8).
Insert the battery. Pay attention to correct polarity (Illustration
2d/9).
Attach the radio switch rocker. Here, pay attention to the
marking TOP (Illustration 2e/10).
Single-button operation
Activate the desired radio receiver with the "PROG" button
(Illustration 11).

Press the PROG button of the radio receiver with a wire / pin
until the internal LED illuminates (Illustration 11).
The programming mode is activated for 20 seconds.
Trigger a radio signal of the desired radio wall transmitter
within 20 seconds (Illustration 12).
For this, press the desired switch rocker.
The transmitter signal of the radio wall switch is automatically
assigned to the activated radio receiver.
The radio-receiver LED goes out as soon as the radio-transmitter
has been programmed into the memory
The radio-receiver LED blinks in a fast rhythm (error
notification), if an attempt is made to program a radio-
transmitter more than once.
The programming mode is automatically exited when no signal
has been received for 20 seconds.
To terminate the programming mode prematurely, press the
"PROG" button again (Illustration 11).

General
Transmission codes are preset at the factory. They cannot be
changed.
Radio-receiver: 16 transmitters can be assigned per radio-
receiver.
Radio transmission takes place on frequency channels that
are not exclusively available.
Interference cannot be ruled out.
Not suitable for safety applications, e.g. EMERGENCY STOP,
EMERGENCY CALL.
Radio range depends upon transmission power, interference,
construction conditions.
Follow the rules of electrical engineering!
Check that the circuit is dead before beginning work.
Do not make any changes to the devices.
Do not connect any device whose operation requires
monitoring.
Note the Technical Data.
We retain the express right to make changes due to technical
progress, changes in standards, altered manufacturing
procedures, or construction improvements.
Certified for use in EU/EFTA-member states.
Troubleshooting:
If your system does not function properly, please check:
Is the battery still charged and correctly connected?
Do the batteries have good terminal contact?
Is the device switched on and receiving voltage?
Are the transmitter and receiver correctly programmed?
Has the receiver assignment been deleted and not
reprogrammed correctly?
Correct channel preselection set (manual remote control
comfort)?
Receiver within transmission range?
Source of interference nearby, e.g. cellular phone transmission
tower, etc.?
