Der Wassermelder dient zur Vermeidung oder Minderung
von Wasserschäden durch frühzeitiges Erkennen von Was-
serstandsüberschreitungen. Er ist ist für die Verwendung mit
einer Alarmanlage der Protect-Serie bestimmt und aus-
schließlich als Heimwassermelder für den privaten Bereich
in Innenräumen vorgesehen.
Voraussetzung für eine bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
ist die sachgemäße Installation sowie die Beachtung und
Einhaltung der Hinweise dieser Bedienungsanleitung.
Jede andere Verwendung gilt als nicht bestimmungsgemäß.
Eigenmächtige Veränderungen oder Umbauten, die nicht in
dieser Bedienungsanleitung beschrieben sind, sind nicht
zulässig und führen zur Beschädigung dieses Produkts.
Darüber hinaus können Gefahren, wie z. B. Kurzschluss,
Brand, elektrischer Schlag etc. nicht ausgeschlossen
werden.

Der Wassermelder funktioniert nur in Verbindung mit

Bitte prüfen Sie den Verpackungsinhalt genau. Sollte etwas
fehlen oder durch den Transport beschädigt sein, dürfen Sie
den Wassermelder NICHT in Betrieb nehmen!

Der Montageort muss sich innerhalb der Funkreichwei-

te zur Basiseinheit einer Alarmanlage der Protect-Serie

befinden.
• Räume, in denen Überschwemmungsgefahr durch
wasserführende Geräte (z. B. Waschmaschine), Zapfstellen
(z. B. Anschluss Gartenschlauch), eindringendes
Regenwasser oder überlaufende Behälter (z. B.
Badewanne) besteht.
• Zum Vermeiden von Überschwemmungen durch
überlaufende Behälter hängen Sie den Sensor bis zur ge-
wünschten Füllmenge in den Behälter.

Beschädigen von Kabeln oder Leitungen!
ë Achten Sie bei der Montage auf eventuell in der

Wand verlegte Leitungen. Für Montagefehler wird

keine Haftung übernommen. Wenden Sie sich im

Zweifelsfall an einen Fachmann!

Der optimale Abstand der Sensorkontakte zum Boden

beträgt 1 - 2 mm. Siehe î 4.

1. Öffnen Sie den Wassermelder, indem Sie die
Verriegelung in Pfeilrichtung nach unten drücken und die
obere Hälfte in Richtung der Verriegelung verschieben.
Siehe î 2.
2. Die Montageschale des Wassermelders wird mithilfe von
doppelseitigem Klebeband oder zwei Schrauben fixiert. (Sie
können die Montageschale als Schablone für die Plat-
zierung der Bohrlöcher verwenden.) Siehe î 5.

Achten Sie bei der Verwendung eines doppelseitigen

Klebebands darauf, dass die Klebeflächen staub- und

fettfrei sind.

3. Schieben Sie die obere Hälfte des Wassermelders auf
die Montageschale, bis die Verriegelung einrastet.

1. Öffnen Sie den Wassermelder, indem Sie die
Verriegelung in Pfeilrichtung nach unten drücken und die
obere Hälfte in Richtung der Verriegelung verschieben.
Siehe î 2.
2. Legen Sie die Batterien des Typs AAA in das Batterie-
fach ein (Polung beachten!). Siehe î 3.
3. Schieben Sie die obere Hälfte des Wassermelders auf
die Montageschale, bis die Verriegelung einrastet.
4. Führen Sie 1 x monatlich und nach jedem Batteriewech-
sel eine Funktionskontrolle durch.
5. Führen Sie 1 x jährlich einen Batteriewechsel durch.

Der Wassermelder muss an eine Alarmanlage der Protect-
Serie angemeldet werden. Darüber können dann weitere
Alarmierungssysteme aktiviert und Alarmmeldungen über
das Telefonnetz abgesetzt werden.
1. Wählen Sie an der Alarmanlage den Menüpunkt

aus.

2. Lösen Sie den Sensor aus, indem Sie ihn z. B. in ein
Glas Wasser halten.
3. Wenn im Display der Alarmanlage die Meldung

mit einer Nummer dahinter erscheint, war die Anmel-

dung an der Alarmanlage erfolgreich.
4. Ändern Sie den Eintrag in der Alarmanlage bei Bedarf.

Wie Sie die Alarmanlage konfigurieren, entnehmen Sie

bitte der Bedienungsanleitung zur Alarmanlage.

1. Reinigen Sie die Gehäuseoberfläche mit einem weichen
und fusselfreien Tuch. Verwenden Sie keine Chemikalien
oder Scheuermittel.
2. Führen Sie 1 x monatlich und nach jedem Batteriewech-
sel eine Funktionskontrolle durch.
3. Führen Sie 1 x jährlich einen Batteriewechsel durch.

The water leak detector serves to prevent water damage or
to reduce it by providing an early warning when a water
level is exceeded. It is designed for operation in combination
with an alarm system from the Protect series and exclusively
intended as a home water leak detector for private pur-
poses, indoors.
A condition for complying with the intended use is that the
equipment is installed correctly and the information in this
operating instruction manual is observed and maintained.
Any other use is considered unintended use. Unauthorised
modifications or reconstructions not described in this operat-
ing instruction manual are not permitted and could cause the
product to be damaged. Furthermore, risks through short-cir-
cuits, fire, electric shock etc. cannot be ruled out.

ing. When the water leak detector is tripped, it sends a radio

signal which can be received by alarm systems from the

Please check the contents of the package carefully. If any-
thing is missing or has been damaged during transport, DO
NOT put the water leak detector into operation!

The installation location must be within transmission

range of the base unit of the Protect alarm system.

• Rooms in which there is a risk of flooding due to
equipment which uses or supplies water (e.g. washing
machine), taps (e.g. connection for garden hose), intrusion
of rainwater or facilities which can overflow (e.g. bathtub).

• To prevent overflowing and flooding from equipment
containing water, hang the sensors in the container at the
height of the required fill level.

• Risk of serious injury through damaging cables or

wires!
ë During installation, pay attention to any electrical

lines concealed in walls. We assume no liability for

any installation errors. In case of doubt, contact a

specialist!

The optimum distance between the sensor contacts

and floor is 1 - 2 mm. See î 4.

1. Open the water leak detector by pressing the lock
downwards in direction of the arrow and sliding the upper
section towards the lock. See î 2.
2. The assembly shell of the water leak detector is fixed in
place by means of double-sided adhesive tape or two
screws. (You can use the assembly shell as a template for
positioning the drill holes.) See î 5.

When using double-sided adhesive tape, pay attention

that the application surfaces are free of dust and

grease.

3. Slide the upper section of the water leak detector onto
the assembly shell until it snaps in place.

1. Open the water leak detector by pressing the lock
downwards in direction of the arrow and sliding the upper
section towards the lock. See î 2.
2. Insert the AAA batteries in the battery compartment (pay
attention to correct polarity!). See î 3.
3. Slide the upper section of the water leak detector onto
the assembly shell until it snaps in place.
4. Complete a function test once a month and after chan-
ging the batteries.
5. Change the batteries once a year.

The water leak detector must be registered on an alarm
system from the Protect series. This can also be used to
activate further alarm systems and send alarm signals via
the telephone network.
1. Select the

menu option on the alarm system.

2. Trip the sensor by holding it in a glass of water, for ex-
ample.
3. When the message

, followed by a number,

appears in the alarm system display, registration on the
alarm system was successful.
4. Change the entry in the alarm system as necessary.

To configure the alarm system, please refer to the oper-

ating manual related to the alarm system.

1. Clean the surface of the housing with a soft, lint-free
cloth. Never use any chemicals or scouring agents.
2. Complete a function test once a month and after chan-
ging the batteries.
3. Change the batteries once a year.

Veuillez vérifier minutieusement le contenu du coffret. Si un
élément manque ou a été endommagé pendant le transport,
NE PAS mettre en marche le détecteur d'inondation !

L'emplacement de montage doit se trouver à l'intérieur

de la portée radio vers l'unité de base d'un système

d'alarme de la série Protect.
• Des pièces dans lesquelles il existe un risque
d'inondation lié à des appareils fonctionnant avec de l'eau
(p. ex. machine à laver), des prises d'eau (p. ex.
raccordement de tuyaux d'arrosage), infiltration d'eau de
pluie ou débordement de bacs (p. ex. baignoire).
• Afin d'éviter des inondations dues à un débordement des
récipients, accrochez le détecteur dans ceux-ci jusqu'à la
quantité de remplissage souhaité.

• Risque de blessures graves lié à des câbles ou

fils endommagés !
ë Lors du montage, s'assurer que des fils n'ont pas

été posés dans le mur. Nous ne portons pas garants

pour des erreurs de montage. En cas de doute,

La distance optimale des contacts du détecteur par

rapport au sol est 1 - 2 mm. Voir î 4.

1. Ouvrez le détecteur d'inondation en poussant le
verrouillage vers le bas dans le sens de la flèche et en
déplaçant la moitié supérieure en direction du verrouillage.
Voir î 2.
2. La coque de montage du détecteur se fixe à l'aide du
ruban adhésif double face ou de deux vis. (Vous pouvez
utiliser la coque de montage comme gabarit pour placer les
trous de perçage.) Voir î 5.

Si vous utilisez un ruban adhésif double face, veillez à

ce que les surfaces adhésives soient sans poussières

ni gras.

3. Poussez la moitié supérieure du détecteur sur la coque
de montage jusqu'à ce que le verrrouillage s'enclenche.

1. Ouvrez le détecteur d'inondation en poussant le
verrouillage vers le bas dans le sens de la flèche et en
déplaçant la moitié supérieure en direction du verrouillage.
Voir î 2.
2. Insérez les piles de type AAA dans le compartiment
prévu à cet effet (attention à la polarité exacte !). Voir î 3.
3. Poussez la moitié supérieure du détecteur sur la coque
de montage jusqu'à ce que le verrrouillage s'enclenche.
4. Effectuez un contrôle de fonctionnement 1 fois par mois
et après chaque changement de pile.
5. Changez de pile 1 fois par an.

Le détecteur doit être déclaré sur un système d'alarme de la
série Protect. De plus, d'autres systèmes d'alarme peuvent
être activés et des messages d'alarme déposés via le ré-
seau téléphonique.

danni causati da inondazioni di acqua rilevando un
superamento di un certo livello d’acqua consentito. Il rileva-
tore è concepito per l’uso in combinazione con un impianto
di allarme della serie Protect ed è destinato esclusivamente
come rilevatore di inondazioni negli ambienti interni di abita-
zioni private.
Requisito per un impiego conforme è la corretta installa-
zione come anche l’osservanza delle indicazioni fornite

Verificare il contenuto della confezione. In caso dovesse
mancare qualcosa o risultare danneggiato dal trasporto,
NON mettere in funzione il rilevatore di inondazioni!

Il punto di ubicazione deve trovarsi entro la portata utile

dell’unità base di un impianto d’allarme della serie Pro-

tect.
• Ambienti soggetti al rischio di inondazione dovuta ad
apparecchi che conducono acqua (ad es. lavatrice), punti di
erogazione acqua (ad es. attacco per tubo da giardino),
penetrazione di acqua piovana o recipienti traboccanti (ad
es. vasca da bagno).
• Per evitare inondazioni dovute a recipienti traboccanti,
posizionare il sensore all’interno del recipiente fino al livello
di riempimento desiderato.

B AVVERTENZA!

• Pericolo di gravi lesioni dovute al

danneggiamento di cavi o linee!
ë Durante il montaggio, tenere conto di eventuali

cavi posati sottotraccia. Si declina qualsiasi

responsabilità per errori di montaggio. In caso di

dubbio, rivolgersi ad un tecnico specializzato!

La distanza ottimale dei contatti del sensore dal pavi-

mento è di 1 - 2 mm. Vedi î 4.

1. Aprire il rilevatore di inondazione spingendo il nottolino di
arresto in basso in direzione della freccia e spostando
contemporaneamente la parte superiore verso il nottolino di
arresto. Vedi î 2.
2. La flangia di montaggio del rilevatore di inondazione è
fissata tramite nastro biadesivo o due viti. (la flangia di mon-
taggio può essere adoperata come sagoma per determinare
la posizione dei fori.) Vedi î 5.

Utilizzando nastro biadesivo, assicurarsi che le

superfici di incollaggio siano esenti da polvere e

grasso.

3. Spingere la parte superiore del rilevatore di inondazioni
sulla flangia di montaggio facendola scattare in posizione.

1. Aprire il rilevatore di inondazione spingendo il nottolino di
arresto in basso in direzione della freccia e spostando
contemporaneamente la parte superiore verso il nottolino di
arresto. Vedi î 2.
2. Inserire le batterie di tipo AAA nel vano batterie (osser-
vando la corretta polarità!). Vedi î 3.
3. Spingere la parte superiore del rilevatore di inondazioni
sulla flangia di montaggio facendola scattare in posizione.
4. Verificare il funzionamento del dispositivo 1 volta al mese
e ogni volta che si sostituisce la batteria/le batterie.
5. Sostituire la batteria/le batterie 1 volta all’anno.

Il rilevatore di inondazioni si lascia accoppiare ad un im-
pianto d’allarme della serie Protect. Oltre a ciò possono
eventualmente risultare attivati anche altri sistemi d’allarme
e lanciati ulteriori messaggi d’allarme attraverso la rete tele-
fonica.
1. Selezionare presso l’impianto d’allarme la voce di menu

2. Attivare il sensore, immergendolo ad es. in un bicchiere
di acqua.
3. Nel momento in cui sul display dell’impianto d’allarme
viene visualizzato il messaggio

seguito da una

cifra, significa che la registrazione all’impianto d’allarme è
stata eseguita con esito positivo.
4. Se occorre, modificare la voce nell’impianto d’allarme.

Le indicazioni su come configurare l’impianto d’allarme

sono riportate nelle istruzioni d’uso dell’impianto d’al-

larme.

1. Pulire la superficie dell’involucro esterno con un panno
morbido e antipilling. Non utilizzare sostanze chimiche o
detergenti abrasivi.
2. Verificare il funzionamento del dispositivo 1 volta al mese
e ogni volta che si sostituisce la batteria/le batterie.
3. Sostituire la batteria/le batterie 1 volta all’anno.

Het verheugt ons dat uw keuze op dit apparaat gevallen is.
In geval van een defect brengt u het apparaat met de aan-
koopbon en de originele verpakking terug naar de leveran-
cier.

De watermelder dient ter voorkoming of beperking van
waterschade door vroegtijdige herkenning van overschrijdin-
gen van waterpeilen. Hij is voor het gebruik met een alarm-
systeem uit de Protect-serie bestemd en uitsluitend als wa-
termelder voor particulier gebruik binnenshuis bedoeld.
Voorwaarde voor het beoogd gebruik is de juiste installatie
en naleving van de instructies in deze gebruikshandleiding.
Elk ander gebruik is niet toegestaan. Eigenmachtige wijzi-
gingen of ombouw die niet in deze gebruikshandleiding
beschreven zijn, zijn niet toegestaan en leiden tot beschadi-
ging van dit product. Daarnaast kunnen gevaren, zoals kort-
sluiting, brand, elektrische schok enzovoort niet worden
uitgesloten.

De watermelder werkt alleen in combinatie met een

alarmsysteem uit de Protect-serie!

B VOORZICHTIG!

De watermelder registreert door middel van in de be-

huizing geïntegreerde contacten de aanwezigheid van

vocht en vloeistoffen op de vloer. Als de watermelder geacti-

veerd wordt, zendt hij een radiografisch signaal dat door

alarmsystemen uit de Protect-serie kan worden ontvangen.

Controleer de inhoud van de verpakking zorgvuldig. Als er
iets ontbreekt of door het transport beschadigd is, mag u de
watermelder NIET in gebruik nemen!

De montageplaats moet zich binnen de reikwijdte van

de basiseenheid van een alarmsysteem uit de Protect-

serie bevinden.
• Ruimten waarin overstromingsgevaar door
watervoerende apparaten (bijv. wasmachine), tappunten
(bijv. aansluiting tuinslang), binnendringend regenwater of
overlopende reservoirs (bijv. badkuip) bestaat.
• Ter voorkoming van overstromingen door overlopende
reservoirs hangt u de sensor tot aan de gewenste vul-
hoeveelheid in het reservoir.
