a
high-quality
mount
with
bases
designed
to
fit
your
par
ticular
rifle.
The
scope
should
be
mounted
as
lo
w
as
possible
without
touching either the barr
el or the r
eceiv
er
.

Car

uctions packed with the scope mounts y

e selected.

BORE SIGHTING
Bor
e
sighting
is
a

the
scope
with
the
rifle
’s
bor
e.
It
is
best
done
using
a
B
ushnell®
Bor
e
Sighter
. I
f a
bor
e
sighter
is
not
av
ailable,
it
can
be
done
as
follo
ws:
R
emo
ve
the
bolt
and
sight
thr
ough
the
gun
barr
el
at
a
100
yar
d
target.
Then
sight
thr
ough
the
scope
and
bring
the
cr
oss
hairs
to
the
same
point
on
the
target.
Cer
tain
mounts
hav
e
integral
windage
adjustments
and,
when
bor
e
sighting,
these
should
be
used
instead
of
the
scope
’s
internal
adjustments.
If
major
elev
ation
adjustments
ar
e needed, they should be accomplished b
y shimming the mount base.
ZEROING
Final
sighting-in
of
your
rifle
should
be
done
with
liv
e
ammunition,
based
on
your
expected
shooting
distance.
If
most
of
your
shots
will
be
at
shor
t
range,
zer
o-in
at
100
yar
ds.
B
ut,
for
long-range
shooting
at
big
game,
most
experienced
shooters
zer
o-in
about
thr
ee
inches high at 100 yar
ds.
