[U] Protecting Images from Accidental Erasing 

(PROTECT)

Protecting an image

Press the MENU button K during playback to display the 

menu icons.

Move the selector lever up u or down 
d

 to select PROTECT [U] and press 

E

Move the selector lever left l or right r to select the image 

to be protected.

Move the selector lever up u to select 

[SET], then press E.

The [U] icon appears on protected images.

Press the MENU button K.

Note

To protect another image, repeat steps 3 
and 4.

Important

[ERASE ALL] (Æ p.106) does not erase protected images. However, [FORMAT] 
(Æ p.163) erases all of the images on the card, including protected images.
