Installation description
Navimute with female Cigarette socket
Needed items:
A. Navimute-box.

1. Remove the radio from the centre console.

and the connectors on the cars wiring loom.
Important: If an telephone mute solution
is installed please install the ISO Power & Mute cable closest to the speaker connectors
on the car wiring loom (last in the chain) else the Mute option in point 5 will not work.

connector on the ISO Power & mute cable

. The red should be the constant 12v and
the blue should be the Ignition. If the wires are switched it can be corrected with the
two bullet connectors. If no ignition can be found an IGNIBOX item nr 69615 can be
used to create an artificial ignition.

Warning: Do not connect the ignition wire to a con-
stant 12v source as the stand-by current used by the Navimute is enough to discharge
the cars battery.

4. Connect the Audio connection cable

Note: If the wrong end is connected to the Navimute-box no sound will heard.
5. Connect the Mutewire (Optional) from the Phone-carkit to the yellow flywire on this will move the Navigation sound to the rear speaker when a phone
conversation is active.

(Optional). Connect the cigarette charger for the portable Navigation unit to the Cigarette socket on the Charging cable

This will free up the cigarette lighter in the car and allow you to hide the charger behind the instrument panel to achieve a more discrete install.
7. Activate the external sound output on the portable navigation. Some Portable navigation system need to have the sound output activated in the menu.
8. Adjust the sensitivity of the Navimute. Turn up the sensitivity of the Navimute until Navigation sound is heard. This is done by turning the sensitivity ad-
justment screw on the side of the Navimute-box. When you have Navigation sound fine adjust the sensitivity level so the light in the diode is almost constant
when the navigation sound heard.
9. Adjust the Navigation volume on the Navimute-box Set the volume on the portable Navigation unit to 80% of it’s maximum volume and adjust the vol-
ume of the navigation sound to an appropriate level using the volume adjustment screw on the side of the Navimute-box.
10. Refit the radio.
Note: The Navimute mutewire is not an mute but an input moving the Navigation sound to the rear speakers and can not be used to mute a radio.
