INTRODUCTION
To get the best out of your new universal
electric tabletop grill, please read through
these instructions carefully before using it
for the first time. We also recommend that
you keep the instructions for future
reference, so that you can remind yourself of
the functions of your tabletop grill.
SAFETY MEASURES
Normal use of the tabletop grill
• Incorrect use of the tabletop grill may
cause personal injury and damage to the
grill.
• Use the tabletop grill for its intended
purpose only. The manufacturer is not
responsible for any damage resulting
from incorrect use or handling (see also
Guarantee Terms).
• The tabletop grill may only be connected
to 230 V, 50 Hz.
• The tabletop grill or cord must not be
submerged in water or any other liquid. If
you drop the grill in water by accident, or
it gets wet in any other way, you must
immediately remove the plug from the
socket and get an authorised repair
engineer to examine the grill before you
use it again. It is extremely important that
you follow these instructions, as water in
the grill could give rise to fatal electric
shocks.
• Do not use the grill when your hands are
wet, when the floor is wet or when the
grill itself is wet. Never touch the plug
with wet or damp hands.
• Never leave the grill unattended when in
use. Keep an eye on children when the
grill is in use.
• Always switch the tabletop grill off and
unplug it once you have finished grilling.
• This tabletop grill is not suitable for
commercial or outdoor use.
Positioning the tabletop grill
• Never place the tabletop grill next to hot
objects (e.g. cookers or ovens) or in the
vicinity of flammable materials (e.g.
curtains).
• Do not cover the tabletop grill.
• The grill gets hot very quickly and takes a
long time to cool down again. Be careful
of spitting oil, fat or other liquids. Only
touch the tabletop grill by the handle.
• Do not let the cord hang over the edge of
a table/counter; keep it away from hot
objects and naked flames and make sure
that it never comes into contact with the
hot parts of the tabletop grill during use.
Cord, plug and mains socket
• Check regularly that the cord is not
damaged and do not use the tabletop
grill if this is the case, or if the grill has
been dropped or damaged in any other
way.
• If the tabletop grill, cord or plug is
damaged, the grill must be inspected
and, if necessary, repaired by an
authorised repair engineer, otherwise
there is a risk of electric shock. Never try
to repair the grill yourself.
• Remove the plug from the socket for
cleaning.
• Avoid pulling the cord when removing the
plug from the socket. Instead, hold the
plug. Never lift the tabletop grill by the
cord.
• Make sure that it is not possible to pull or
trip over the tabletop grill cord or any
extension cord.
