If you turn the mode dial while in Playback mode, the camera will switch 
to Shooting mode.

Scene Mode
You can shoot with the best 
settings for the scene (p. 54) or add 
effects and shoot (p. 57).

P Mode
Choose settings yourself 
to take various types of 
pictures (p. 66).

Movie Mode
For shooting 
movies (pp. 31, 85).

Auto Mode
You can leave it to the 
camera to select settings 
for fully automatic shooting 
(p. 24).
Easy Mode
You can shoot just by 
pressing the shutter 
button (p. 29).
