To set the loopback method for testing the J1 interface, use the loopback command in controller configuration
mode. To turn off loopback, use the no form of this command. This command should be used for testing
purposes only.

loopback {local| line| isolation}

no loopback {local| line| isolation}

Places the interface into local loopback mode.

Places the interface into external loopback mode at
the line level.

Places the interface into both local and line loopback
mode.

No loopback is configured.

This command was implemented on the Cisco MC3810.
