FLOWER PEN - The flower on the pen is the magical key! Wave the
flower pen to open My Secret Diary™. 

FLOWER CLIP - Use this clip to hold a picture or a special note.

SPIRAL NOTEBOOK - Use this to keep track of all your secret
thoughts or drawings.

RESET - Press this button to open My Secret Diary™. Insert a dull,
pointed object (like the end of a paper clip) into the Reset button hole. 

To open My Secret Diary™, remove the flower pen from the top of the
diary. With the flower facing down, wave the pen over each flower until
you hear a sound and the flower lights up. After waving the wand over
all three flowers, the diary will magically open. If you miss a flower,
Barbie® will give you helpful hints. Please note, you must wave your

My Secret Diary™ will open automatically when the batteries are
installed. 

• Using a screwdriver, loosen the screw until the battery compartment

door on the back of product can be removed.

• Insert three (3) AAA batteries (we recommend alkaline) as indicated

inside the battery compartment.

• Replace the battery compartment door and tighten the screw with a

screwdriver.  Do not over-tighten.

• As with all small batteries, the batteries used with this game should

be kept away from small children who might still put things in their
mouths. If a battery is swallowed, consult a physician immediately. 

• Be sure you insert the battery correctly and always follow the game

and battery manufacturer’s instructions.
